Track Rules/Requirements

All track events must follow the track rules.

Rules are subject to change-Decisions of the judges are final.

Rules:

1. All persons entering pit must stop at gate to sign the release sheet and receive an arm band and rules. Drivers and pit crew must pay to enter pit. Fee will be listed at gate.
2. Absolutely NO alcohol or drugs in pit or track, vehicles may be searched at gate.
3. Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew members.
4. For all events drivers must wear helmet, seat belt, and eye protection, if no windshield.
5. Any driver or crew member disobeying the rules will cause his or her car to be disqualified.
6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for disqualification.

Mud Bog

Entry Fee: $30 per class

PIT Fee: $20 per person

Date: Friday August 14, 2026

Registration Time: 4:00-6:00

Event Time: 6:00

Where: Al Dietz Memorial Track

Driver is admitted to the fairgrounds for Free.  Anyone else will be required to pay the Gate Admission.

Rules:

1. Mud bog winner will be determined by the longest distance traveled. Once an entry in each class makes it through the winner will be determined by fastest time.
2. Drivers will be called to line up in each class, drivers must stay in the vehicle; if not in vehicle when it’s your turn, the driver will be Disqualified.
3. Modifications are acceptable in any class, Open cars must have roll bars.
4. No loose objects in vehicle.
5. No riders allowed in vehicle during competition.
6. No one allowed in competition area except staff and drivers, all crew members must stay in stage area behind barrier.
7. Vehicles must have secure rear anchor point for pulling vehicle from bog.
8. The course will be marked, leaving boundaries will result in Disqualification.
9. Stop immediately upon making it through Bog.
10. You will be flagged if official feels vehicle has stopped forward progression or driver may stop on their own. Official will mark for distance.
11. Drivers may run in multiple classes and change tires if they can do so in a timely manner.
12. No reckless driving or speeding in pit area.
13. Paddle tires in open class only.
14. Alcohol fueled vehicles must have own fire extinguisher.
15. Nitrous oxide fueled vehicles must have roll over protection.
16. Vehicle classes will be determined by tire size. Stock up to 33” DOT, Super Stock 34” to 38”, Modified 38.5” to 44” DOT, Tractor Tire- Non DOT farm vehicle type tire, Open anything goes.
17. Rules may be altered or added at the discretion of Elk County Fair the staff; any questions about rules should be addressed at drivers meeting.

Power Wheels

Date: Wednesday August 12, 2026

Registration: 5:00-5:30

Event Time: 6:00

Rules:

1. Driver MUST wear a helmet.
2. Only battery-operated power wheels may be used.
3. Only children 10 years of age and under may participate in the appropriate age group.
4. The judges’ decision is final.

Demolition Derby

Date: Saturday August 15, 2026

Event Time: 7:00PM
